{Goood Friday, everyone! What an exhausting week!}
Today we have officially entered into the New Moon energy.
This is also a good time to begin to consider not only any new moon intentions,
but if you would like to utilize the full solar eclipse for ritual.
The Guardians have chosen to have us consider this eclipse as a sort of portal exchange.
As if two portals are coming together…
One with the waning moon,
that will close as the moon covers the sun at the eclipse,
The other with the waxing moon,
that will open with “The REVELATION” of the sun as the moon moves off again.
With this is the opportunity to create some magic in your life…
to close the door on certain challenges of the past,
to set intentions for the future
while opening the door to our future by tapping into the Solar eclipse
to help direct/ redirect energy, set the intention of what “portal” we would like to close and what we would like to open, personally,
and magnifying/ amplifying the push forward across the threshold and into what lies beyond.
ECLIPSE RITUAL
Here is the eclipse ritual being brought through.
You will want:
*An amplifier, “center stone” – quartz crystal and/or selenite
* Moonstone – and/ or – labradorite, moldavite, obsidian… or whatever feels representative to the moon to you
* Sunstone – and/or citrine, creedite, fire agate, amber… or whatever feels representative of the sun to you
* Sage, Palo Santo, sweet grass, loose organic tobacco, or other “sacred smoke”
* You may keep the space simple or add in whatever speaks to you.
Consider sunflower and moon flowers, rosemary, and a vessel of water, perhaps with rose petals added.
* to mark the space you can draw a circle in the dirt or sand or utilize a combination of stones, flowers, twigs, seashells, etc…
1) Opening prayer – invoke the light, your angels & guides, and those who would be present for your highest good.
2) A scared space can be created at the beginning of the eclipse, and though outside is preferred it can be done inside if necessary.
Create a sacred space to work within – either a circle or a 4 pointed cross to define the sacred space.
for the circle, moving clockwise from the west (from the setting sun to the rising sun)
or for the cross, beginning in the west and moving west, north, east, south
you may use your stones as markers for the 4 corners in both the cross and the circle. Placing the amplifier as either the easterly marker or the center stone.
3)Work with the phases of the eclipse.
The moon moving across being the time to focus on releasing, letting go, endings of chapters, the closing of doors – that portal closing,
the moon moving off to reveal the sun again bringing acceptance, new beginnings, opening new doors of opportunity and abundance – opening the new portal.
In the middle, speak your intentions – both the letting go and the welcoming of the new (receiving)
3a) You can choose to write your intentions down, read them, and then burn that paper,
or {more specifically the guidance for this eclipse is…} to use some sage (or other cleansing smoke) to send you spoken words out with blessings.
4) When the eclipse is near its end, say your closing prayer
“As it is from above, so it is from below and within”
If you have limited time to give during the eclipse, it is perfectly fine to condense the ritual into a time frame that works for you, still utilizing the central moment of the eclipse to center the ritual around.
*** Lastly, Lest we forget it is also mercury retrograde. Allow what has come up and may come up this weekend to guide what you address around Monday’s eclipse.
Apophyllite is a great healing, clearing, and guiding stone for this.
As well, you might consider adding rosemary, marigolds, cedar, and olive wood to your alter for the duration. As well as to your eclipse ritual space.
