With the solstice (12/21), we have entered winter.

The season of The North
The season of the Crone
The season of wisdom
Winter is inward. It is deep reflection,
And it is anchored in the root chakra.
As we begin to walk winter’s wisdom path,
journeying deep into it’s dark reflections.
We must “begin again”, grounding into this new beginning.
Reconnect with earth’s energy.
Feel her winter energy.
Feel how she has shifted, and how she has stayed the same.
Honor her presence, her power, her gifts… with an invocation of gratitude.
As the hours and days progress,
Pay attention to where you put your feet.
Know your path.
Be like the mountain
Wear your changing weather with grace.
Sit with presence,
vast and ageless
within the power of your center.
Be patient,
For mountains stand the tests of time.
Be patient,
for winter is patience
while you grow into wisdom
…Into your own medicine
In winter we question.
Grow into the questions.
Watch
Pay attention
Be receptive
Everything has a season.
The answers will come when you are ready.
When you are ready,
you will become the answers.
If not this season, then another…
When you are ready.
PATIENCE
For wisdom,
is allowing things to unfold in their time.
GROUNDING
{In winter it is important to spend time outside, if possible. But of course, we can also do grounding inside.
If so, be in a room that feels most connected to the outside world, or be by a window}
Go outside and sit with the earth.
Feel her beneath you, supportive.
Feel her beside you engaging
Feel her atmosphere surround you,
resuscitating with each breath
Feel the intimate relationship you have with her.
Honor that relationship
Give thanks for all she provides.
Inhale that earth energy up,
through the feet,
filling every part of the body. Clearing and balancing every chakra
Connecting
Breathe it up and out again through the crown. Sending it to the light of source.
See that the light of source and earth are woven together with your own.
It fills you and surrounds you.
It heals, it anchors, it protects.
Strive to maintain this as you move throughout your day.
