VERNAL EQUINOX – SPRING BATH RITUALS

SPRING DAY 1 BATHING RITUAL
(Either the 19th or the 20th)

“With this bath I cleanse body, spirit, and mind.
Clearing my energetic field, my boundaries are reinforced.
I am clean.
I am protected.
I am whole.
I welcome spring’s renewal and the abundant blessings that will grow in the days ahead.”

So below
As within
So without
As the universe

*Always begin by cleansing the space, invoking your guides, and setting the intention
You can smudge and/or invoke the Divine Light of source to cleanse and clear the room.

Cleansing, Clearing, Renewing SALT SCRUB
1/3 cup each Epsom and sea salts
(or a mix of any of the following: Epsom, sea salt, Himalayan or black salt.)
Coconut, Almond, or Olive oil enough to make a paste
3 to 5 drops each – Frankincense oil, Lavender oil, grapefruit oil,  

Frankincense – protection, purification, clears psychic channels
Lavender – calming, antiseptic properties
Grapefruit – uplifting, eases depression and sensitivities to negative energy

SUBSTITUTIONS:
Lemon, Rosemary, Tea Tree Oil (melaleuca), Citronella, Lemongrass

BATH POTION
1 small box Baking soda
Orange peel (zest) or essential oil
Jasmine buds (or 2-3 tea bags or oil)
Quartz

Orange – calls in SUN VITALITY, uplifts the mind & spirit, brings focus, prosperity, abundance, clears, cleanses, and protects
Jasmine – MOON essence, eases the assimilation of ancestral energies and energetic downloads, enhances LOVE energy, eases “fight or flight symptoms… calms the heart, enhances “White magic”, dreams & intuition
Quartz – all around amplifier and cleanser. It will “instinctively” adjust the energies as needed.

SUBSTITIONS:
For Baking soda – Epsom Salt, Himalayan Salt, Seas Salts, Black salt or a combination of salts other citrus, chamomile, rosemary
Men may prefer sandalwood or rosemary or chamomile to Jasmine
For stones – Carnelian, amethyst, citrine or none

NOTES for BATH:
1) I like to run the bath HOT, allowing the bath ingredients to step like a tea.
2) Light candles, meditate, set intention… allowing the water to cool down before entering.
3) Submerge entire body, including head, hair, and face. Settle comfortably into the water
(face and head do not need to stay submerged)
4) Connect with the warmth of the water, the scents of the potion, and the energy of relaxation.
5)Continue to soak while considering all that needs to be released from the winter season. Then all that you want to bring forward, and all that you want to create.
6) When it feels complete, purposefully begin to drain the tub sending all that stuff you no longer wish to carry away.
7) While the water is draining, you can begin to salt yourself from head/ hair to toe – avoiding the face and eyes. Pulling out toxins. Scrubbing away impurities. Bringing forth renewed vitality and creation magic.
8) Gently and intentionally rinse yourself until clean.
Washing toxins, impurities, wounds, negativity, fear, anxiety, etc.. away and sending them down the drain to be transmuted.
9) End with the above mantra. Dry off and blow out the candles.

*Be mindful of clogging the drain.
I have a fine mesh strainer meant for the kitchen sink, which I use to catch my ritual bath remnants. Creating a sachet from cheeses cloth or other loosely woven fabric works well too.

NOTES for SHOWER:
1) Put ingredients in a large bowl,
cover with hot water, place in the shower area,
and allow to steep in the shower space.
2) Light candles, meditate, set intention
3) Run the hot shower for a few minutes before entering, to create a steam infused with the “potion”
4) Salt the body including lightly through hair. Either outside the shower, on a towel, or in the shower while not directly in the water flow. Avoiding the face and eyes. Focus on pulling out toxins. Scrubbing away impurities. Bringing forth renewed vitality and creation magic.
5) {Enter the shower} Rinse the salt scrub off.
Washing toxins, impurities, wounds, negativity, fear, anxiety, etc.. away and sending them down the drain to be transmuted.
6) Gently and intentionally bathe in the potion, head to toe,
considering all that needs to be released from the winter season.
Then all that you want to bring forward, and all that you want to create.
7) Before rinsing, consider all that needs to be released from the winter season. Then all that you want to bring forward, and all that you want to create.
8) End with the above mantra. Dry off and blow out the candles.
The ritual is complete.

Again be mindful of solid bits going down the drain.

SUNDAY SPRING BATH RITUAL
* for grounding and anchoring and for rebalancing electromagnetic energy
* for closing out the seasonal transition & preparing for the days ahead

CHALKING POTION
1 can evaporated milk (NOT condensed milk)
3 Bay Leaves
Obsidian

Milk – calms, balances, clears the body’s electromagnetic energies, soothes & comforts the skin and hair, nourishes body, mind & spirit, supports growth, protects
Bay Leaves – Protection, Amplifies healing, intuition, prosperity; clears negativity, dark energy; reduces stress
Obsidian – clears negative energy, protection, reduces stress, enhances our ability to see the truth

SUBSTITUTIONS:
dried milk or fresh milk – 1 package/ 1 cup
Rosemary,
Smokey quartz, Black Onyx, petrified wood, amethyst, clear quartz
You can just use the milk and no herbs/stones depending on what is available

NOTES for BATH:

2) Light candles, meditate, set intention… allowing the water to cool down to a comfortable before entering.
3) Submerge entire body, including head, hair, and face. Settle comfortably into the water
(face and head do not need to stay submerged)
4) Scan your body. Relaxing and imagining that your electromagnetic field is balanced and calm, contained and grounded. Reinforce to yourself that you are safe and protected.
5) Continue to soak while considering your blessings and your dreams & intentions for the days ahead, until it feels complete.
6) When ready, purposefully begin to drain the tub. Watching the water leave… send doubt, worry, and any other toxins/ toxic energy away.
Reinforce the belief in your future manifestations.
7) End with the above mantra.
8) Rinse in a cold shower for just a minute or 2 (optional)

Dry off and blow out the candles. The ritual is complete.

NOTES for SHOWER:

and allow to steep in the shower space.
2) Light candles, meditate, set intention
3) Enter the shower. Wet your body & Hair, connecting with the essence of water for a few minutes, while the “potion” infuses the steam.
4) Begin intentionally pouring the potion into your hair and down your body, imagining your electromagnetic field is balanced and calm, contained and grounded.
5) When the potion is gone, spend a bit of time considering your blessings, and your dreams & intentions for the days ahead before beginning to rinse.
6) When ready, purposefully begin to rinse, sending doubt, worry, and any other toxins down the drain. Watch the water as it flows down the drain, reinforcing the “washing away”
7) Reinforce positive, hope-full, energy and the belief in your future manifestations. Reinforce to yourself that you are safe and protected.
8) End with the above mantra.
9) Rinse in a cold shower for just a minute or 2 (optional)

Dry off and blow out the candles. The ritual is complete.
