Dear Beautiful Souls,
I am having a hard time this week
It is difficult to post, even things that are already written
As I find myself needing to “shelter in place”, so to speak,
and simply needing to be.
It is a new year. A time to rejoice. To celebrate.
A time where we want to be faith-full, hope-filled and positive…
A time to look to the future with our eyes on endless possibilities, and the belief that we can bring our dreams to life.
Yet some moments this seems more challenging that ever.
This week seems to lean more towards continuing our downward spiral. We have seen people who should care for one another, choose to be cruel rather than thoughtful.
And friend turn against friend simply because one asked for common courtesy.
Ego continues to take precedence over kindness and basic human decency.
The planet is raging
The horrible wildfires of Australia are not the only ways in which this is happening.
Yet acknowledging that the way we treat the planet, and the way we live on the planet needs to change…
wanting to implement a new course of action, is met with hostility.
We continue to turn a blind eye.
Corruption continues to be allowed, excused, accommodated…
Violence continues to erupt.
We witness the rejoicing in the death of humans,
the ignoring of genocide,
the diverting of eyes away from the injustices on the home front (such children still imprisoned at the borders)
We see people support the destruction of culturally significant areas and sacred artifacts,
celebrate and relish in the idea WAR…
Choosing to perpetuate all the lower level, hate filled energies that keep “US” stuck in this cycle
The events unfolding around the world are hitting me hard. Distracting me. Breaking my heart. My soul weeps.
I know that I am not only one.
The impact is real
It is hard and heavy.
It is heartbreaking and infuriating.
For those who are sensitive, and those who wear their heart on their sleeve,it is brutal
Those who wear blinders or choose to shut themselves off from their emotions are suffering, too.
They may not consciously know it but they are.
{“What affects one affects all.” }
We need to feel and speak about our feelings.
We need to be ourselves and be there for each other.
To hold space for one another.
Or “WE” will continue down a road that ends in a world that is uninhabitable.
physically, emotionally, and spiritually UNINHABITABLE
There are those out there who say – don’t be outraged, don’t be angry, blah blah blah…
bullshit
This is the perpetuation of the inaction, in-authenticity, and lack of courage within a certain community.
This is not real.
It’s not an honest way to respond.
Nor is it healthy or balanced.
OF COURSE, we should be outraged.
Why on earth would anyone in their right mind – more so in their right heart, NOT be outraged?
The key, however, is how we process, respond to, utilize and transmute that energy.
To harness it and then unleash it in a positive, effective way.
What is important to remember is to first, honor what is rising.
Honor what is being triggered.
Honor the emotions. All of them.
Then call in the healing, the strength, the courage…
The LOVE and The LIGHT…
to help shift you to a place of clarity, of centered focus, of presence, and of some peace.
Where you feel you can offer something of value to the world,
with FORCE behind it.
From there, make your offering to the world.
Whatever calls to you.
Surround the planet in love and light, sending it to settle into those areas and those peoples who need it the most. Without qualifiers of whom or where it lands. Send out prayers and healing, heart-based energy. Visualize (or use actual images of) specific areas – such as the fires, and send what is needed.
Whatever you are called to do. Do that thing.
But FEEL first.
Filter all things from the HEART with love & light.
Move forward from that place.
