Jan 2017, part 1 – Engaging winter’s guidance, strengthening foundations & working through shifts…
The Winter season…
is supporting us in some of the shifts in our personal patterns we have been guided to make for the 2017.
The New Year’s guidance of “PRIORITIZING SELF-CARE”
– taking care of ourselves first in order to
take better care of others, and
to radiate the healthiest, highest-vibrational energy forward into the collective,
is being shown to us in increments
BEGINNING with the natural patterns within winter.
Winter is a time for honoring and nurturing “the necessity of rest & reflection”,
returning to self,
and strengthening our foundations
NURTURE the body, spirit, and mind with
more conscious (satisfying, balanced) food choices, viewing choices, reading choices, and listening choices.
Get a massage, go to the theater or an art gallery, join a meditation group, take music lessons…
establish a sacred space and a daily time within that space.
REFLECTION through things like quiet contemplation, journaling, reading…
REST by allowing more sleep time, more home time,
and “being lazy” – which promotes daydreaming and gives space for CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS.
But rest does not just mean sleeping more or doing “low energy” things.
Rest and rejuvenation also comes through playing –
resting the “work & worry mind” and the body from the tensions of work, worry and everyday stress through
ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT {another 2017 theme}, i.e. engaged or active PLAY.
Things like playing board games, playing in the snow with your kids or pets, walking/hiking, winter sports…
Focusing on these aspects of self-care will also greatly assist with the big energy shifts happening this year…
The first of 3 big – back to back, energy shifts for JANUARY is just settling in.
{A 4th shift may actually move in. ending the month with a piggy back of transitions – as we’re seeing right now.}
Shift ONE/ Part one being from the new year through this past week. Having intensified Tues/weds/Thurs. This was more a time to acclimate and to “sync” our physical and psychic selves to a more balanced state with what is upcoming.
There is {what will appear to be} a brief “breather”. A {very!} brief gentle period which is actually the beginning of the 2nd energetic transition piggy backing on the first.
Though we may not understand all that is happening,
those of us who are more aligned with the intuitive self and function more consciously among the multiple realms, will notice these shifts more clearly, along with the physical, dream time, and sleep time impacts they’ll have.
With this, the sense of unease that something is up, amiss or impending will be more dramatic.
It will be most important to honor the above winter time rituals of going inward, slowing down, quieting, and playfulness.
Remember that this year’s big theme is about being EXPANSIVE.
A major determiner of what direction we expand will depend on our intentions, the effort we’re putting towards our inner and outer expansion, and if we are being honest with ourselves.
To be most present with all of these, we will need to make this higher level, intentional self care the first priority.
Lay the foundation now so you will have a more solid footing to expand upon.
