{Winter Solstice post 2}
The Winter Solstice
– the shortest day of the year,
the final day of Saturnalia,
and the first day of what the Pagans called “Yule”,
is tomorrow, December 21st
With the Winter Solstice, we celebrate the return of the light,
as the days will slowly begin to get longer.
As with the full and new moons,
we are under the influence of the solstices for 3 days before and 3 days after.
You may have already {finally} begun to see a “glimmer of light”
in those areas where you have been struggling.
The solstice is the natural “New Year”,
bringing that extra energetic impact as an annual marker.
This also makes it an especially great time to create and practice rituals.
(I will post a ritual, as well as journal prompts, later)
Think about what has transpired this year.
Be honest – but not critical,
about where you have shined
and where you fell short.
Be clear with what you want,
as well as what you are no longer willing to accept.
From there, you can determine your “resolutions” for the year ahead,
and what you want to bring forward with the light…
“I bring these forward
To shine long and bright,
To outshine the night.”
(This is also where your personal “ritual” begins.
I will post more on Solstice rituals later.)
Remember:
We are still on the tail end of December’s transitional energy of
“revisiting the past”,
and acknowledging it
while responding to it in a way which reflects our personal growth,
rather than reacting from our old patterning and wounds.
This is actually the perfect balance for this December’s solstice.
Use it wisely and let it be your springboard into the new year.
{As the guidance has been, again and again…}
Stay positive,
or at least neutral.
Do all things with Love,
filtering through your Heart,
Practice gratitude,
Pay attention…
And you will shine bright and
be “a bringer of the light.”
