Paying attention to the signals our bodies are giving us can be very helpful in working through the layers.
Is there an area that is suddenly acting up?
What does that correlate to emotionally or spiritually?
Think about these questions when connecting with the area.
What is being triggered beneath the surface? Then give yourself a mantra or affirmation to counter it.

For instance,
Shoulders – carrying the burden, shouldering “the weight of the world”
Mantra – “I do not need to carry the burdens of others. I only need to be supportive through loving kindness towards myself and others.”

Tight chest – anxiety (lack of trust – call in Love)
Abdominal area – fear (Call in your guides, your angels and love – “I am safe. I am protected.”)
feet – foundation is feeling threatened or crumbling
ankle – guilt (“I forgive myself.)
Knees – lessons from the deep past are being stirred up, and coming to the surface. (Also relates to past life issues)

Suddenly finding yourself “wounding” yourself – cuts and bruise, can signal the need to release anger and fear
“I forgive myself. I forgive others. I love myself. I send love to my enemies” (Yep, this is a tough one)

These are the areas and the coordinating emotions I am guided to bring forward. Shoulders, knees, and feet being especially emphasized.
There can be several other interpretations for each area, and obviously several other areas of the body.
Trust your own intuition and the guidance you receive.

Check in.
Consider what is being triggered.
(Journal, if you like)
Honor any emotions which arise.
Breathe and release.
End with gratitude.
