As we transition from 2020 to 2021
It is more important than ever to be in the practice of honoring our emotions, all of them. Especially those that we have a strong reaction against, are uncontrollable, lead to obsessive thoughts,, or instinctually want to surpress – such as anger, fear, jealousy…
We do so by giving them a safe space to be worked through – not by vomiting them out in a toxic, harmful reactionary mess, or feeding them into a downward spiraling thought pattern.
Part of being human is having a full range of emotional capacity and experience.
Those emotions are a gift…
a part of us for a reason.
They are cleansing, healing, informative, insightful…
They help us engage, connect, empathize, grow…
Only by allowing ourselves to feel and to accept ourselves full – with all our messiness and “imperfections”,
can we truly release, grow, progress…
As 2021 becomes,
We carry this forward.

Not indiscriminate, projected anger, but the energy of outrage, felt and placed where it truly belongs.
