It is easy to get trapped within the emotions of our own personal suffering –
disappointment, loneliness, despair, anger, sadness, fear, guilt, anxiety…

The challenge is go deeper than the depths of that well of emotions,
to push beyond the discomfort of ego,
to step into the space of love.
This love is always there, within you.
It never leaves you.
it’s simply that we forget to call upon it, push it aside, or choose to ignore it.

Interestingly,
allowing the grace of love to fill you…
allowing it to displace and transmute the suffering,
Is often more frightening than grasping tightly to the “lesser energies”.

Still more challenging is gazing upon others, who we feel have caused us harm, with eyes of love and compassion.
When we place ourselves in “love” with another, we bring them into our “field of grace”.
By doing so we ‘see’ the field of grace around them, and stand together in Divine light.
This changes everything.

Observe what happens
when you put the following “thought guidance” into practice
… into action like a mantra…
with others and with yourself?

“If what affects one affects all…
If I am the mirror and I am suffering,
then you must be suffering too.
I understand how you feel.
I am sending you love.”

Finally,
…the words of Mother Theresa fill me these past few days,
twisting and turning themselves into one simple phrase…

“People will be unkind,
Be kind anyway.”

What matters most is not what others do;
What matters most is the heart of you.
